Dear Fellow Believers,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! We would like to thank you all for your prayers and support. You have been a blessing to us! We pray that God is blessing each one of you in your various ministries. At this point, we are well and safe as we continue on this deputation trail. God has been blessing us tremendously, bringing us ever closer to Guyana. We certainly do not deserve all the benefits that He sends our way. "What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?" ( Psalm 116:12 ) The Bible says in Psalm 68:19, "Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. " Praise the Lord!
During our time back home, God has given us some opportunities to stand up for Him and proclaim His Word on the streets of downtown Greenville. This includes holding Scripture signs, distributing Gospel tracts, and street preaching to the diverse crowds that walk back and forth in the evening. There are some who would say that this is a hopeless venture, that it does not do any good. But we will continue to do so because God has commanded us to do so in the Great Commission. And the Lord Jesus Christ, who is our Blessed Hope, brings hope to hopeless situations! America is in need of someone that will stand valiant for the truth! Truth is needed to take the place of all the religious deception and lies that are being propagated throughout our nation. God's Word is still effective today!
In Philippians 1:6, Paul states this, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ..." Unfortunately, this work is under attack from all sides. The call of the world, the cravings of the flesh, the cares of this life, and the clutches of the devil all threaten to extinguish the progress that has been made. Before we can ever have revival in this country, we must pray for God to revive His work in us and renew us afresh so that He can use us to further the Gospel.
We are longing to return to Guyana. There is such a difference in the reception of the Gospel by the people. Many of them are not yet hardened to it. They are not cold and indifferent in comparison to the people here in our nation where people have forgotten about God ( whether willingly or ignorantly ) in order to pursue a life of sin and wickedness.
Please pray for us as we continue to do the work that needs to be done in order to reach the mission field! Please pray for the people of Guyana! And pray for the Runyons there in Port Kaituma, with whom we hope to be working soon!
By God's grace, we will be taking a trip to Montana in the next two weeks to attend a couple of meetings. Please pray that our car will be able to go the extra miles without giving out! The approximate distance is 2,308 miles one way, and it takes 37 hours to reach our destination. So we will taking a few extra days and going slow. This is the schedule thus far and the churches we will be visiting:
1. Columbia Bible Baptist Church -- Columbia Falls, MT ( June 27 )
2. Grace Baptist Church -- Columbia Falls, MT ( June 27- 28 )
3. Dillon Baptist Church -- Dillon, MT ( June 29 - July 2 )
4. Gospel Light Baptist Church -- Kalispell, MT ( July 4 )
As always, please pray that God will use us to be a blessing to others. May God bless you all as you continue to serve Him!
In the grace and love of Christ,
Buck & Shannon Woodworth

Dear Fellow-Labourers,
Greetings once again in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! As always, it is good to be saved - to know that our sins have been forgiven and forever washed away by the blood of the Lamb! God is definitely worthy to be praised for all His mighty works, and for saving such unworthy sinners like us. Praise the Lord!
We would like to thank everyone who has been praying for us and supporting us faithfully. Because of you, we are closer now to reaching Guyana than we were a year ago. Over half of our support has been raised, by God's grace. This is certainly something for which to rejoice! And we are looking forward to seeing what great things the Lord will do in the future months ahead. We are still setting our sights on getting to the mission field by August, by God's grace. In order for this to happen, our support amount has to be consistent each month. It still varies somewhat, but not to worry! God is in control! Please continue to pray about this!
Another month has passed by very swiftly. Our Saviour is returning soon, and there is still so much work to be accomplished. The Bible admonishes us to redeem the time, because the days are evil.
The last few weeks have been very busy. We have returned from a preachers' meeting in North Carolina just in time to attend another one in our home church in Conestee, SC. After this, we will be going to an annual Missions School (our second one since we were accepted by Prayer Baptist Missions Intl. ). This will be held in Boiling Springs, SC.
We would like to ask prayer for a young man named Austin. This teenager has expressed to us a desire to go street preaching in the city of Greenville. Since we are home for a little bit, Shannon and I have asked him to go downtown with us in an effort to witness to the lost and dying people there. Please pray (1.) that we would be good examples to Austin, (2.) that we would bear the gracious and loving attitude of our Lord to the unsaved, and (3.) that we would be effective ministers of the Gospel.
May God bless you all as you continue to serve Him faithfully!
In the grace and love of Christ,

March 2010
Dear Praying Friends,
Greetings once again! It is great to be a saved, born-again believer --- washed in the cleansing blood of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ and seated in heavenly places with Him! How wonderful it is to serve Him in whatever position He decides to place us! As we think back over the years, we are reminded over and over again just how God's grace has worked in our lives to bring us from the bondage of sin then, to the marvelous liberty and service of God now. Little did we know that God would take us and use us to be missionaries. We have come too far to turn back now! And by God's grace and mercy, we will go farther along to accomplish the work that He has begun. We have been edified and encouraged to keep fighting the good fight, and to stand for Him in these last days when so many are falling around us.
We have attended many churches on our deputation. What a blessing it is to see first- hand that there are other pockets of Bible-believers situated in many various areas of our country! Some congregations are small, and others are large in comparison. But they all make up the body of Christ. And sometimes we, like Elijah, think we are the only ones who have troubles, trials, temptations, and tribulations. God always has His remnant, His faithful few who have not rejected his Word and renounced His name!
Now for the update! We have been informed that our support level is steadily rising. It is currently a little above halfway! This is good news because it means we are getting ever closer to our departure for the mission field of Guyana! We are looking forward to returning to the good work over there. Thank you to all who have labored so hard to pray for us and support us! God is answering our prayers! It will not be long now! Praise the Lord!
Our schedule of late is as follows:
Apr. 11 -- Trinity Baptist Church in Lecanto, FL ( a.m. meeting )
-- Freedom Baptist Church ( p.m. meeting )
Apr. 17 -- Youth Rally in DeLand, FL
Apr. 18 -- Bethel Baptist Church in Inverness, FL
Apr. 20-21 -- Mission Conference in Christiansburg, VA
May 3-7 -- White Plains Baptist Church in Mount Airy, NC
May 9-12 -- Fellowship Meeting- First Baptist Church in
Conestee, SC
So the work continues to abound throughout the next few months. May the Lord find us faithful until he returns in power and great glory! God be with you all!
In the grace and love of Christ,
Buck & Shannon Woodworth
Prov. 3:5-6
Dear Friends and Family,
Greetings from afar! Since our last update, we have been getting steadily busier as we travel from church to church. God has been providing meetings for us all through the month of March, at least one per week. Several pastors have called and asked to set up meetings. Such opportunities and such answers to prayer are a blessing, considering the fact that we are praying about going to Guyana this year. There is no limit to God's ability to provide the necessary means to get there. He has already graciously provided us with half of the monthly support. And by God's grace, the rest will come in just as speedily. Our schedule for the rest of this month is as follows:
Mar. 11 -- Maple Ridge Baptist Church ( Candler, NC )
Mar. 17 -- Chapel at First Baptist Church -- 8:00 a.m. ( Conestee, SC )
Mar. 22-24 -- Missions Conference with Bro. Jay Wilburn ( Erin, TN )
Mar. 28 -- Meeting with Bro. Ronnie Waters ( Blakely, GA )
Apr. 11 -- Freedom Baptist Church ( Hernando, FL )
Apr. 18 -- Trinity Baptist Church ( Inverness, FL )
We are so thankful for the churches that God has allowed us to visit on our journey. They have been such a blessing to us. There have been so many friends along the way, so many opportunities to preach! " My cup runneth over..." Surely this is true in our lives! How could it be otherwise with people blessed beyond measure?
Speaking of which, this month holds special significance for us because it marks our first anniversary as husband and wife. We were married on March 14th, 2009, and it has been a joy to be married ever since. Please pray that we will continue to serve God together and to fulfill His will for our lives!
Thank you all for your prayers and support! Without you, we could not do the work God has called us to do in Guyana. And we are so much closer to reaching the mission field now than a year ago! May God bless you all as you continue to serve Him!
Because of Christ,

January 2010
Greetings once again!
"The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad." We are looking forward with much anticipation to the things our great God will accomplish in this new year. This could be the time of our Lord's return! What an exciting day in which to live, and serve our wonderful God! In the meantime, while we are watching and waiting for him to come, we have a job to do here. The Lord Jesus Christ has commanded us to occupy till He comes. That implies that there is still work to do. So much work, so many souls that need to hear the Gospel! So many lost people that need salvation! The sad fact is that there is so little time left and so few labourers to work in the white harvest fields. Praise the Lord for freedom to preach and witness! God has blessed me with opportunities to testify and present the work in Guyana.
In many ways, it is a blessing to have the holidays behind us. The last month has been slow since most churches are busy with winding up their tight schedules. No one needed a missionary to come at that time. So, in the meantime, we have been out street preaching in downtown Greenville. We would ask your prayers for the unsaved people on their way to and from their daily errands, that God would melt their cold hearts and warm them up to the Gospel.
With a new year ahead of us, our travel schedule looks like it is starting to pick up. We will be travelling to DeLand, Florida, in a week to attend a Bible Conference at the Bible Baptist Church. In February ( two weeks later ), we will arrive in Arizona where we will be visiting another church as well as helping in a missions effort on an Indian reservation. And then we will be presenting the mission work in the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Salisbury, North Carolina. Please pray:
(1.) that God will give us strength to labor for Him,
(2.) that we would be a blessing to these churches,
(3.) and that our schedule would be filled up with more meetings. Our God is good ALL the time!
Thank you all for praying for us, and supporting us! May God bless you all as you strive to live for Him and serve Him!
In the grace and love of Christ,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
It would be a blessing to share my testimony of God's
great salvation which He has wrought in my life if it
would benefit others.
God
placed me into a Christian family that was very active
in attending church regularly. The King James Bible was
read and taught in our family. When I was very young,
I remember telling my dad that I did not want to go to
Hell, and that I wanted to be saved. But that was not
when I placed my trust in Jesus. That happened a few years
later. In the meantime, we kept going to church. I learned
more about the love of Jesus Christ for sinners and His
sacrifice on the cross. When the invitation was given
during the close of a Sunday school lesson, I raised my
hand for salvation. But it was not personal because other
children around me were raising their hands also. Of course
I did not want to be the only one to be left out, so I
raised my hand, too.
For a few years I thought I was saved. Then on May 1st,
1994, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Pastor Dean Miller
preached a sermon on the Tribulation and the Antichrist.
I was 16 years of age, and it was at that time that I
felt the conviction of the Holy Spirit. I knew that I
was not going to Heaven. So, going forward at the invitation,
I stated my need for assurance. My youth pastor showed
me some Bible verses, and I believed on the Lord Jesus
Christ that day. Now I know that I am saved for all eternity!
(1 John 5:13) Praise the Lord for His wonderful grace!
When I was 27, the Lord led me to the Bible Baptist Church
in DeLand, Florida. It was there that I received extensive
Bible training in the DeLand School of the Bible. During
that time, the opportunity was opened to go on a four-week
mission trip to Guyana, South America, where I met Dean
and Patty Runyon for the first time.
From that time, it was my desire to return to the mission
field. After graduating from a three-year course in Bible
school, Brother Runyon invited me to return to Guyana
to help in the work during their furlough, and such a
blessing it was!
During my time in Florida, I also met Shannon Shepherd,
a Christian young lady from South Carolina. Shannon has
the same desire for the mission field as I do. After four
years, we entered into an engagement to be married on
Saturday, March 14, 2009. It is our desire to return together
to serve the Lord full time in Guyana. Our goal is to
return sometime between June and August, by God's grace.
God has been leading all the way! We know that He will
continue to direct our way.
"Trust
in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine
own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and
he shall direct thy paths."
Proverbs
3:5-6
Please pray for us as we prepare ourselves to undertake
this great privilege and responsibility! God be with you
all till we meet again!
In the grace and love of Christ,
Buck D. Woodworth
